We have shared with you previously how Le Meridien is on with their LM100 initiative of promoting art, culture, cuisine, innovations and other aspects which makes our lives beautiful.
Continuing with the trend, Le Meridien Gurgaon Invited us to experience the Eclair Making Event which was clubbed with their latte artistry being showcased to the select group of imminent people.
Our Team was there to experience the event, Represented by Ms Madhu Dhawan. And here is what she has to say.
Le meridien Gurgaon recently concluded their coffee week with an eclair making event. It was an interesting event where coffee, art, marriage of indian flavours with eclair and some crafty mixology brought coffee at the helm of affairs at the most exciting 5 star property in Gurgaon.
I was greeted with a shot of cardamom coffee, a refreshing drink made of contrasting flavours lifted me up as i prepared myself to experience a master class with their pastry chef Anil.
Chef Anil showcased the art of eclair making, continuing from the tradition started by famous pastry chef johnny luzinni as part of his signature eclair program and even made us try our hands at the art of mixing delectable indian flavours with this queen of pastries called Eclairs. We loved it. I personally made a saunf- coconut eclair, filling the eclairs with cream and topping it with shavings of fennel & coconut.
Mahima, The latte artist showed us the effect of these crafty initiatives by Le Meridien. Her magnificent designs on the cups of coffee enthralled everyone attending the event. Mahima explained the procedure of the art as well as shared knowledge on the coffee beans.
Another highlight was the mixology session by their bartender DK, who showcased two brilliantly concocted coffee based cocktails, An Espresso Martini, which is a classic vodka based drink and Alive, which was whiskey based. Coffee and liquor is a classic F & B Phenomenon as we showcased you previously in our article, What can happen over Coffee and Liquor ?.
A lil tipsy, we all tried their exquisite collection of eclairs with flavours ranging from chocolate, white chocolate, coffee, to unconventional flavours like kashmiri kahwas, saunf, coconut and lavender and cheese. Each one of these flavours lend a distinct taste on the palate, each more enjoyable than the other.
It was an event which gave me an insight into the hospitality world and how hotels of the quality of Le Meridien craft initiatives to connect with their guests as well as do justice to the art of hospitality.
It was one of its kind experience for me, which will stay with me for a longtime.
