This summer was an interesting one for all those who follow and enjoy Delhi’s food scene. we being actively involved in the same had an amazingly interesting summer too, here is a list of few things we did, observed and analysed.

- Coastal Reef
Coastal Reef is one of our most interesting concepts which represent cuisines which are my personal favourites. Coastal reef is a 35 cover speciality cuisine restaurant at Baani Sqaure, Gurgaon serving hand picked dishes from different coastal states of India, Predominantly presenting the southern and coastal flavours to you in their authentic form. Chaired by Chef Manjit Singh Gill, Top Chef awards is truly one of the most acclaimed awards for the hospitality industry professionals. Award focussed on felicitating the unsung heroes of the food world, The Chefs, The Bartenders, The Maitre’Ds, The Restauranteurs and other important stakeholders. 4. Regional Cuisines & Festivals
This summer we also saw regional cuisines and festivals in the limelight.
Our Dear Friend Osama Jalali and his family whipped a great spread during their Shahjahanabad festival at Le Meridien Gurgaon, showcasing the food from old delhi.
Soda Bottle Opener wala showcased the traditional parsi bhonu served on the occasion of Navroz, The Parsi New Year.
The Tea Trail organized by Le Meridien, New Delhi was a great initiative which showed us the tea culture in our city and fine nuances of tea service and tasting.
Regional Cuisines in our view would be the next big concept for restaurant’s to follow in the coming season, we can already see them following the course.
5. Ek Bar by Sujan Sarkar
Ek Bar at Defence Colony is another exciting concept by AD Singh, this time in partnership with their Star Chef Sujan Sarkar. Ek bar refreshes the tales from the past, carefully connecting them with food and drinks served to their loyal patrons. The team of ek bar is highly knowledgeable and passionate about their trade and its something which makes us look upto them as we move towards a busy winter season.
6. Rise of the West
West Delhi is rising, and it would be safe to say, the best of Delhi is yet to be seen. Rajouri Garden & Punjabi Bagh club road leads the race as the most happening place for restaurants and lounges in West Delhi. High spending and fun loving population of West Delhi are finding their preferred choices within their vicinity, an eco-friendly move which certainly saves fuel of driving down to south delhi every time you utter the word “Party”
Lights Camera Action has certainly made its mark with the west dilli walas. Common Room, The Global Food Factory , Californian Boulevard and various other places have added to the charm of rajouri garden. Punjabi bagh is not behind and you must come and check out whats brewing in saadi west dilli.
7. Robinhood Army – Saving the hungry Indian
We are very proud to be associated with Robinhood Army, whose only motive is to save the hungry indians. Here ar RHA we coordinate with restaurants and collect leftover food as well as fresh food prepared for us to distribute to the people in need.
We visit various different slums in our vicinity and distribute food to kids and their families. its a great initiative and growing by each passing day.
UBG Food too contribute food for around 200 kids every week and aspire to improve the numbers every week. We wish, Hope and encourage you to join in this movement and share the love of food
